Friday Night Meetup:

Old Town Mexican Cafe

San Diego, CA 92110-2839

RESERVATIONS are under Don Giannatti - this is truly one of the best restaurants in the area. Great food, reasonably priced and in the middle of a beautiful area. You will love Old Town. You will love the food. You will love the weather. You will hate, I mean really really hate, the parking. Sorry. It is what it is. I use a parking garage that is two blocks or so south.

Meeting Place for Sunday:

South Entrance of the Spanish Village at East end of Balboa Park. On Village Place, just off Park Blvd you will see a very large tree (big big) - we will meet there at 8AM for a photo walk, and 9AM for the Workshop..

This is a fantastic workshop. The studio is large enough to go from simple to wild, and we cover a tremendous amount of lighting concepts, controls and setups. It is a hands-on workshop. You will be doing your own work and shooting your own shots. I do not set it up and walk away like in other workshops, nor do we spend all day doing a couple of images. We do 'proof of concept' and the images/setups are shot for your files.

There are many things to learn, and I suggest you bring a pen/pencil and something to write on... clipboard for instance, or a notebook. I furnish the diagrams and papers you need, but taking notes is very important.

Please take advantage of this workshop to learn as much as you can. I make no plans for Saturday evening, so I am available as long as anyone wants to stay. Sunday we like to end around 6 in the winter.

Bring:
Camera, lenses, preferably wide angle and telephoto
Big Lights if you have them (please contact me first)
Speedlight(s), and a remote system for triggering them. CLS is fine for Nikon shooters, ST3's for Canon.
At least one stand for your speedlight.
An umbrella (small or medium, shoot thru, bounce or both - white or satin white)
A reflector system. I recommend the 5inOne or the 6inOne systems.
At least 4 GIG of media. (We shoot a lot)

If you are signing up, it is imperative... really imperative for you to BOOKMARK THIS PAGE. It is where the current information for the workshop will be found. As new information becomes available, this page will be updated.

Please Sign Up with this form. Be as complete as you can. You will be taken to a deposit page after enrolling.

REFUND INFORMATION:

PLEASE NOTE:
I base a lot of arrangements to make these workshops happen, and they are based on the ability to know how many are coming. Because of this, refunds are not possible.
1. You will be able to apply your funds toward any workshop that we have for the following 24 months. There is no explicit dates given or implied.
2. You can find someone to take your place and I will certainly honor that. If you have paid part or in full, we will simply apply those funds to the person who is taking your place. You may then make arrangements with the person who is replacing you as to how you want to handle those funds.

BY ENROLLING YOU AGREE TO THE REFUND POLICY ABOVE. THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING.

NOTE: You will be taken to a PayPal pay button on the next page.

You will be required to pay $250 to hold your place and the balance ($300) one month before the workshop. (You will be notified of the final payment button being available.) You will be given the opportunity to pay for the entire workshop if you wish.
