Portraits

Portraits should show the many facets of each individual photographed. Or at least capture the spontaneous moment and share something with the viewer. I try to take the time to know each of my subjects a little before I make plans for the image. Whether on location or in the studio, a portrait must be more than a simple photo, it should evoke the spirit of the subject and draw the viewer in to the subject's reality. Even for a brief moment. And ever so delicately.
