I am coming to Atlanta... do they still call it "Hotlanta"? I was there once a few years ago and really loved it. There will be a meetup on Friday evening for the attendees and any models who may want to come. We also like to party a bit after the Saturday workshop, so be prepared for that if you dare... (No, we don't get all that crazy, but... hey, it's Atlanta... gotta have a little nightlife.) We will keep everyone informed on this page so bookmark it if you are attending the Atlanta workshop. This is the page where all the info will posted.
PRE-WORSHOP CHECK LIST AND INFORMATION DOCUMENT. PLEASE PRINT, READ AND BRING.
Saturday Morning at 9am we will convene here for the workshop.
NOTE: We will meet for coffee and conversation at 8am and will announce that location as soon as possible. It will be as close to the studio as we can get it.

This Email was sent on Tuesday Morning:
Hi Lighting Essentials Workshop Attendee.
We are really looking forward to this weekend's fantastic workshop.
If you haven't gotten a chance to visit the workshop page, please do that as soon as possible. The map to the studio is there as well as other information you may need.

I am attaching the Pre-workshop Doc for you to print and read. It may help you get ready for the workshop and what we will be doing.
If you have not paid your balance yet, there is a link on the Atlanta page for you to do that. Please do that as soon as possible.
Also check back later this week (Thursday) for any last minute info that may be added.
Briana and I are looking forward to a fantastic workshop there.
BTW, if you have a set of studio strobes and would like to bring them, that would be great.
I would like to have some shooting bays set up.
Umbrellas, softboxes, beauty dish, reflectors and such are welcomed. With air travel going nuts, I am having to travel a bit lighter these days. Please email me if you have something you can bring to the Saturday workshop. Sunday is location work, so unless you have a strobe with a battery, it won't be necessary.
I am available all week by phone, and you can always text me - which is preferable - with a note and time to call you and I will get back to you asap. Texting is also the way to reach me in Atlanta as well. Email works too, btw.
Well,
See you all Friday evening if you are coming to the meetup or Saturday Morning at day one of the workshop.

We have options for Sunday. We will have that decided by the workshop day. If we have to make any final decisions we will do it as a group on Saturday. We want to be cognizant of weather and location amenities.
It is an all day workshop on Saturday and Sunday, so be ready for it. We are going to shoot inside and on location. If you are attending and you have a favorite model, let her know about it and send her to the model info page on the Workshop site for more information. You will be shooting a ton of images, so be prepared.
Bring camera, flash, lenses and plenty of media cards. If you have a meter, bring it. If you don't know how to use your meter, you will after this workshop.
When you sign up you will be asked for a deposit of $100. If for some reason I cannot come that money will be returned in full to you. I don't forsee that happening, but just to let you know. The balance will be due a week before and you will receive a notice from me for payment. I cannot refund the deposits due to the travel expenses and such. However, if there is someone to take your place, a refund of the deposit will be cheerfully made.
(NOTE: if the signup form has no submit button, the workshop is full.)
We would like to limit the participants per workshop, and the fee is the same $299.
Included:
Workshop Workbook with lighting schemes, ideas, charts, graphs, cool little arrows and stuff - and places for you take and keep notes on what we do.
Your choice: Lighting Essentials 1 DVD with Photoshop Essentials or my new DVD which will be shipping soon on using simple tools for professional results.
Models. You will have a ton of images for your portfolio after this workshop. I do ask that you send the models images for their portfolios as well.
I will be there as long in the evening as you all want me to stay.
This workshop is about learning to light, not listening to me bluster on, so there is very little of that. We focus on taking your photography to the next level... and maybe two. I will add some more info to this page as it comes in.
