NEWS:
Saturday we shoot here:
Stop Smiling Storefront, 1371 N. Milwaukee Avenue
It's off to Chicago to meet all the Chicago shooters and have a workshop (I love Chicago and used to shoot there). There will be a meetup on Friday evening for drinks and chat. Location to be discussed. I will most probably be staying near the airport. Which airport? I will keep you posted. If you have any ideas, let me know.
It is an all day workshop on both days, so be ready for it. We are going to shoot inside and on location. If you are attending and you have a favorite model, let her know about it and send her to the model info page on the Workshop site for more information. You will be shooting a ton of images, so be prepared.
Bring camera, flash, lenses and plenty of media cards. If you have a meter, bring it. If you don't know how to use your meter, you will after this workshop. We also touch on Photoshop, business practices, working with models, posing techniques and more. It is an extensive, integrated method of teaching.
When you sign up you will be asked for a deposit of $200. If for some reason I cannot come that money will be returned in full to you. I don't forsee that happening, but just to let you know. However, since travel is involved, refunds will not be permitted should you have to cancel. You will be able to use that deposit as a deposit on any other workshop that I am having for a year. And if we fill the workshop, I will also cheerfully refund it.
We would like to limit it to 12 participants per workshop, and the fee is $450 as are my local workshops.
Included:
See the workshop site for all workshop information on what is included in the workshops. You will find Itinerarys, Schedules, and a good deal of information about the workshops there.
Models. You will have a ton of images for your portfolio after this workshop. I do ask that you send the models images for their portfolios as well.
BTW... I will be there as long in the evening as you all want me to stay. If we all want to go have some fun after the workshops and talk about work and photography, that is great with me.
This workshop is about learning to light, not listening to me bluster on, so there is very little of that. We focus on taking your photography to the next level... and maybe two. I will add some more info to this page as it comes in.
