In addition, the DVD contains Photoshop movies on repairing images that went astray, Photoshop movies on some interesting glamour work and dozens of actions and brushes.
Also included are 3 movies that show you how to load actions, create actions and create a brush with your studio name so that you can easily add it to every image.
The movies are large for easy viewing and they are fully narrated to insure that you learn the tools and the concepts.
And the DVD shows you how to set up your lights, shooting with the setup and some cool modifications that can have you shooting professionally lit portraits this weekend.
5 lighting Setups shown in detail.
- Soft and dramatic with little to no fill
- Soft with medium fill
- Adding a soft hairlight for subtle effect
- Adding a strong hairlight for 'glamorous' look
- Using a strong directional main with fill and hairlight
Also shown are three shoots in progress with the lighting shown. You will see the setups, test shots and final images.
Then, using some of the images from the shoots, we go into Photoshop and really make them special. These days professionals need to go an extra step to assure their images stand out from amateurs
that have the same equipment. The techniques on the DVD will make your images jump off the page and your subjects will love your work. I have included many of the actions that I have created
for workflow speed, some killer brushes for effects and links to some wonderful tools that you can get for free or very little.
All taken together, this DVD will help photographers of many varieties:
- Beginning shooters will take a huge leap up the quality ladder and start making images that will bring them more visibility
- Pro-am shooters who are wanting to add people and portraits to their portfolios will find it easier to do with these solid, proven techniques
- Amateur photographers will be able to create some of the beautiful studio lighting that they see from professionals - and astound friends and family.
What will you need to take full advantage of this DVD? Well first, a love of photography and a desire to learn how to make great people shots. You should have a copy of Photoshop, or at least
Photoshop Elements (2.0 or above), and a digital camera. The DVD will introduce you to the lighting tools, items and things that you will need. All of the tools you need should cost less than
$100. (This doesn't include the camera and software, I am referring to the lighting equipment.)
