Late Spring light is one of my favorite sources. In this case the sun was right on the horizon and i had the model stand in the dappled light of large trees. The model was a total novice and she was a little nervous working in a swimsuit iin public. I had her concentrate on items in the distance and subtly led her to the poses I liked. I am very intrigued by photos where the subject seems to let you into a private moment. There was natrual fill from behind and the light through the trees on the large tank gave a nice separation from the background. 10D, 200mm, f2.8 |

Home :: Workshops :: Beauty :: Glamour :: Nude :: Contact :: Sign Up :: What They Say :: Movies / Tutorials Hi Don,
This is Suzanne of Las Vegas. I would like to thank you for the VERY INFORMATIVE WORKSHOP you conducted. You're awesome. This is the best $299 I've ever spent. You shared your knowledge
and expertise wholeheartedly and your enthusiasm is very inspiring. You just made photography sound so simple during lectures rather than getting into the "technical jargon" that other photo
expert wannabee's love to throw at their students. The GOODIES are by itself worth more than $299. I spent 3 days straight trying out the frames and actions on it, with barely a sleep because
of my excitement. I thought everything stops there until I got the Lighting DVD you sent to me.You had certainly boost my confidence and would be keeping in touch.
"Thanks again for a great workshop. I definitely learned a great deal from you and the CD that you provided was fantastic. Please let me know when you have additional workshops
scheduled, I would love to attend. Also, if it wouldn’t be a bother I’d like to come down on a weekend or two and talk to you a bit more and maybe watch you shoot - I’d
like to learn a little bit more on posing and lighting, plus you can get some free labor from me. "
Don doesn't tell you how to shoot, he teaches you how to create, how to see the light...how to compose the photograph...how to work with a subject in order to capture just the right moment. His enthusiasm is contagious and his methods are proven. He wants his workshop participants to share what he has learned over many years -- how to make a great photograph and have fun doing it!" Steve Dreiseszun "Don is without a doubt the best Fashion/Glamour photographer to work in the Valley. One look a his images and you quickly realize the quality of work he produces. Anyone attending this workshop will leave excited about applying the new techniques they have learned. Besides being a great person, Don has the ability to teach what he knows. This workshop is a must for anyone wanting to learn how to take great people shots.
"Don , thanks for the great lighting class that you put on for us . Being new to lighting, this class was just what I needed . The most important thing I learned was how much you can do with just one light . I can't wait for the class when we learn about adding a second and third light . You made portrait lighting very easy to understand. Put me on the list for all your lighting classes." Eric Evans, |
